Turning Gold into Base Metal
How long before the Trump Bubble explodes/implodes? Anyone's guess, I guess; but he seems to be doing a great job of committing an agonisingly slow and drawn-out act of seppuku at the moment, seemingly without any awareness of his doing so. So too, his fellow billionaire acolytes and toadies, their fortunes dwindling at pace as a direct result of their collective endeavours under the [mis]direction of Trump and his chosen Lord of Chaos, Elon Musk, whose fortunes are similarly taking a real time beating, with shares in Tesla sitting at the end of yesterday's trading at around half of its all-time high, and down 8.79 on the week.
A similar picture obtains across the rest of Trump's frat pack of über-rich co-conspirators and their businesses: they're all losing money, and have done consistently since they all jumped into bed with The Orange One. How long before they realise their glorious leader is a conman and gangster of the crassest ilk, out solely to fleece them and the United States of as much money as he possibly can? Even the mighty dollar is starting to look a tad peaky in the currency markets, at the self-same time as stocks are falling, all as a direct result of Trump's economic 'policies': a double-whammy seldom seen, and which many deeply in the know are signalling as the end of American exceptionalism: American business is being taken to the cleaners by Trump in much the same way as US public services are being 'chainsawed' by Musk and DOGE.
What is the logical outcome of all of this chaos? The only motive for it all, on the cabal's part, that I can fathom, is that it is apparently worth them chucking away a few billion dollars as some sort of an investment in their future, collective absolute power; otherwise why else support Trump, when his policies are hacking huge chunks out of their businesses and hence their wealth? From all angles, it looks Machiavellian: but who actually is The Prince in this playground of hugely wealthy men-children? Thankfully, conservative American Republicans are now increasingly on the same [or a maybe vaguely similar] page as Democrats in their condemnation of the current executive's blitzkrieg program [pogrom?] of asset-stripping the machinery of the US government with the obvious intent of ushering in an era of oligarchic control led by The Trump. A governance of The People, by The Trump & for The Trump, alone. There's no point in drawing the blisteringly obvious historical parallels as they're plain, for all those willing to admit them, to see; but it is high time all right-thinking Americans got together to rid the US - and the world - of this stinking canker from the body politic, once and for all...
