Pitchforks At The Ready...

Liz Truss - almost certainly taking the historical biscuit as our worst Prime Minister of all time - believes in 'small' government. What exactly does that mean in the twenty-first century? If government has any remit or even purpose, surely it is to govern, otherwise the word and the concept itself is a non sequitur and invalidates itself. The problem is with thinking such as that of the Truss axis of the Right, is that they still imagine that ultimate power and authority by right subsists with a ruling elite, by dint of status. In medieval times this equated to the most well-equipped bullies, aided and abetted by a religious establishment that existed in a foul symbiotic relationship of succour, support and mutual benefit with the self-appointed 'masters of the universe [as small as it was to them at the time]', which eventually elevated itself to the Divine Right of Kings.

These days, the Kings have been shunted into a ceremonial if still enormously lucrative [through extensive land ownership and state subsidies] rĂ´le: playing out the fantasies of Those-Who-Would-Be-Kings and diverting much-needed attention from the rather more common and base ambitions of the MOTU [apologies to the music tech brand Mark Of The Unicorn], whose sole modus operandi is to hoard as much cash as possible, then hit the trail for the hills before everyone else twigs and decides to hold a lynching party. But this is not about the ridiculous Truss, or even her stupid honours list, it is about the fact that this Tory administration has been employing the classic asset-stripping playbook on our public services: a direct continuation of Thatcher's Take'n'Fake™ ideology of selling what was ours back to us at great profit to them, and duping the voting public into believing the myth that they support proper business and free enterprise. Doing this on our industry was bad enough, but this current bunch of thieves have used exactly the same tactics on our health and social services. Not content with winding the whole thing down over their tenure; faced with a global, potentially species-threatening pandemic, what did they see? A fucking spreadsheet laid out with profit for the despoilers they choose as friends and allies.

I happened on a tweet from a Doctor Dan Goyal this morning, which effectively said that the government's Covid spending had been rolled up into the NHS budget, reflecting that they were increasing NHS funding, whilst simply 'laundering' the money - some £46-48 billion that was paid out in a pretty iffy way to the private sector, all of which we are now given to believe were on a priority list of friends and associates, viz. Baroness Mone. If all of this reminds you of the dodgy business practices of Philip Green, or the much more recent scandal of the Morrisons takeover, where the loan-debt of takeover is dumped on the balance book of the victim, you wouldn't be at all wrong. These people are predators, and they infest our government, media and society. They are parasites. They are, in and of themselves, worthless to us, and they contribute nothing to society and take what they want from it and therefore us. Think on and vote the buggers out forever...
