Scoring cheap political points in rebuttal of truthful argument against one's evident and proven failings really shouldn't wash in public debate generally, let alone in the Mother of Parliaments during PMQs. PM Sunak simply couldn't resist bringing Jeremy Corbyn into the debate - even though he lost the Labour whip in October 2020, some two-and-a-half years ago - to somehow, in his mind, deflect the argument away from the litany of Tory sleaze and shystery that has persisted now for well over a decade. And he still talks blithely about integrity and due process!

Never mind the incontrovertible fact that Corbyn never actually did anything wrong, period. He's not an anti-Semite, and neither am I. He's just a similarly left wing thinker characterized, typically, by the right wing media, as a Trotskyist; which does him and the rest of us on the left, a righteous disservice in its infantilized portrayal. To drag up the anti-Semitism row yet again - not just Corbyn, personally - in the service of attempting to cover up your own shit-heap of corruption and grift, is puerile in the extreme.

Add into this already hideously poisonous mix, our current economic black hole, health and energy crises, and Christ alone knows what else, and we're staring down the barrel of a very, very large gun of the government's own creation. Not you, not me: them. They are responsible for the merde in which we find ourselves swimming upstream against the tide of privilege and money in, pushing back at us from 'above', and forcing us day-in, day-out, back into the midden that they have the gall to call a society that they actually govern(!). It's time to put away the politics, the posturing, the cheap jibes and the fatuous jokes. We need to address real-world, adult issues, as adults. We need to leave the playground of 'politics' and just-fucking-grow-up.

    Paralell(ish) thinking mate! I awoke with the realization that PMQs are the very illustration of the political class at PLAY! Power IS what they crave because they've been educated and encouraged to believe that they deserve it!
    Principles ARE what should be at the core of governance but because they've been kicked around and confused by many "bears of little brians(still dylsexic!:))" we have a situation where ALL "Truths" are "valid"!! This is patently inaccurate as are our systems of "Democracy" [now confused with some form of "representation" that is held hostage to wealth and power in the form of lobbying and "gifts". Most power structures limit the value of a "gift" to, seemingly, assuage any obvious advantage being ascribed to the giver, but there should be NO lobbying and "gifting" ALL argument should be INFORMED and NOT by our current corrupt media.
    We stand on the precipice of a GLOBAL catastrophe and even "our" beloved BBC is stuck in the "balanced" argument logic fork. Case in point the excreble Trump being reinstated by FuckBook and Twatter just so we can be deflected from clear thinking by this proven orange LIAR, mysoginistic egomaniac's latest "Me Me Me" (actually used by the TWAT regarding his previous role as president!!) which an even basically capable Infant School teacher should be able to use as an illustration of how NOT to behave.
    SO MUNCH MORE but Google will eviscerate this which is why I eschew Alphabets products cos nowt is free, if it is YOU are the product that they sell!
    More over some warm flat shit tomorrow, eh?

Many years ago I came up with an analogy for poorly damped feedback loops. The feedback loop that prompted this frankly tart analogy was indeed a horror. Anyone who remembers shame-faced their first attempts at clutch control resulting in the good old kangaroo launch across the lights only to stall in the middle of the crossroads will have some idea of the kind of data transfer lag involved in said system. Sister Ray

Ray Keats - aka Ann Key - local artist & family friend, died this morning. She'd been ill for some years, but never let it get in the way of her work or of tending to the massive network of friends, colleagues and fans she had accumulated over the decades. Her house on the High Street of Rachub, just below where we live - a former cockle factory(!) - bought many years ago when she and her late husband Ronald moved here from Manchester to set up home in Yr Achub, is currently still home to her paintings and drawings, and the front window displays her work, including the last drawing she made in hospital, just days before she died. Her good friend Colin has been a diamond in her latter years, looking out for her and just being there when she needed him. She will be much missed by this tiny community of ageing bohemians up here in the hills, but suffice it to say, George, her cat, will be well looked after now she's gone.

A Time of Connection

I was just reflecting on the vacuum of continuity that's left behind when someone dies: that sudden sense of disjoint, of fracture, in one's personal history that takes one completely by surprise at the oddest moments. These pinch-points in memory can often yield some surprising revelations of fact about periods in one's past. One such occurred to me tonight, tending my rather lazy meal of pizza in its journey from shrink-wrap to mouth via the oven. Al's recent demise still catches me out from time to time: the space he left bounded by forty plus years of friendship. But the thing that struck me tonight was just how much change was happening on a personal and social level in the very early years of our acquaintance. Between moving here from Birmingham in September 1980 and our buying our first proper house eighteen months later, all manner of things occurred that would chart the course of our lives to the present day.
