Brixton, Toxteth: Where Next?
It's sometimes difficult to see how we can claw our way back from this utterly fractured and broken world, where nothing seems to function to the advantage of the people who pay for it with the fruits of their - enforced - labours, only to be rewarded with bullshit, obfuscation and to be frank, penury. Even Doris has spoken out against his own Chancellor(!) for not doing enough to alleviate the escalating effects of the cost of living and energy-cost crises in the provisions of a Queen's Speech that he himself signed off(!).
Really, is this the best that we can expect? Non-rich people (the majority of your voting public, Pooh!) are suffering financially badly enough as it is: the situation only set to get far, far worse by the onset of Autumn this year, with Christ alone knows what consequences. As someone in today's i said - Katy Balls, in fact: 'Those struggling arguably know a lot more about how to keep down the cost of their food shopping than secretaries of state who are on more than £150,000 a year.' in response to George Eustice's fatuous comment that maybe shoppers should try out supermarket own-brands to help out with their financial problems.
We are in a dark place at the moment, and it reminds me of the early 1980s and the start of Thatcher's regime: there was rioting in the streets then and to be honest, it's not hard to foresee a similar situation arising sometime soon. As always, desperate people will end up trashing what little they've got in the vain hope that someone will listen to their pleas: given the connectivity we have now, I think and rather hope that there might be better outcomes than forty years ago...
Tory twat's excuse for not helping the poor with their bills NOW: "We need to wait for data to ensure that we don't, inadvertantly, make the problem worse"! The "data" that they require will be fed into the highly accurate "mathematical" engines used by our current High Priests and Priestesses and we KNOW how accurate they are!!
ReplyDeleteT' only economist that's EVER got anything right was Malthus, the rest is bullshit. Only to be expected when they haven't a clue about maths and just about comprehend arithmetic! Similarly accountants.
Summer is "a coming in" and the riots that WILL erupt; give the police horses summat to do! Did I tell you that I saved myself and my girlfriend from the Grosvenor Square riots/police brutallity by simply scoping it out using the back streets the mews that back onto the posh houses were RAMMED with Police vehicles: Coaches, black marias and horse boxes. They weren't pissing around then and as I found out when I was being bussed by the filth the Westminster bastards loved beating up the "vagrants" (usually inebriated Irishmen) in the cells "of an evening"!!
Q1: How many of the "military" on parade in Red Square on Monday were actors?
Q2: Why isn't the Wagner regiment joining in on Ukraine?
